Midnight Monitor has officially released!

Congratulations to Midnight Monitor for finally existing!!!

And thanks to you, the Player,

Thank you for checking out (and hopefully playing!) my game, Midnight Monitor: Anomaly Watch. I appreciate your support and for taking a small amount of time out of your day to be here. It means more to me than I can put into this message.

I hope this comes as a pleasant surprise: This is the very first game that I’ve ever made. Hopefully that isn’t too obvious!

I used to work in retail and in IT for various London companies, but frankly got a little bit tired of not making things for other people to enjoy. I took up learning Unity and accidentally, over ~4 months, made Midnight Monitor.

I am a solo developer from the UK who created Midnight Monitor out of a love and passion for the growing trend of “Spot the Difference” anomaly games. I’ve spent countless hours playing games like the “I’m on Observation Duty” series, as well as watching other streamers and Youtubers play them too. I wanted to make my own game in this genre, with my own twist and style, and I hope that soon I can see others playing it on their own channels too!

I started working on this game in May 2023, using an Experimental build of Unity. With a lot of trial and error, breaking things, learning, and experimenting, I managed to create a fully playable version of the game you’re playing right now. I did almost everything by myself, from coding to art to sound design. Some of the assets used are purchased or Royalty Free.

Overall, developing Midnight Monitor was a challenging but rewarding experience, and I would recommend anybody give learning Unity a try! Making a game is something that I always thought would be impossible until I really, truly gave it a go.

I hope you enjoy playing this game as much as I enjoyed making it. I tried to make it as fun, scary, and immersive as possible. I also tried to add some variety and replay value, with different game modes, anomalies, and secrets. The game is not perfect, and there might be some bugs or glitches. Let me know ASAP if you encounter anything that doesn’t work correctly!

I would love to hear your feedback and suggestions on how to improve the game. Please leave comments and suggestions on the game store page, or alternatively you can email me directly at:

You can also support me on Patreon at https://www.patreon.com/Viexi and get access to Work In Progress builds spanning the full development of this game, and behind the scenes looks at the development process as I continue to add to the game.

Thank you for your support and feedback. You are awesome!

Sincerely,

Viexi

The developer of Midnight Monitor: Anomaly Watch
